  1. Hazelnut iced coffee, light and sweet
  2. Having my children registered for new schools in time for them to start on the first day
  3. my dog
  4. aunt betty
  5. my parents for loaning me the money to buy a fridge for the apartment since it doesn't have one
  6. my computer
  7. for children so tired they went right to sleep without a fuss
  8. seeing my parents as my children's grandparents
Money making ideas...

Clean up the environment and turn in soda and beer cans/bottles. Accomplish 2 things at once. If you did this once a month, it would add up AND make a difference for the environment.

I will pay off my insurance loan of $5,000.00
I will pay off my credit card for a portion of my car of $6,600.00-had 3.99% for life of loan

I am most grateful today.........

For Wellbutrin SR
For the Library
For God
For my friends
For being able to start Cammi with braces
For being able to work from home
For having food to eat
For not smoking for 7 years

Money-making idea

When taking out a home equity loan for home improvements, get a 0% APR credit card for one year on purchases (also try to have the card include miles/points for double dipping effect). Deposit the loan $ into an ING account and use the credit card to make all your purchases for home improvements. You can make money off the loan amount and when your one year is up for the credit card, pay it off with the inital loan. Not to mention the cash value of the points/miles earned!

Day 7-Chrissy

Today I have $6400.00 to spend.......8/24

I will put on a credit card that I have used for a balance transfer, with 0% until 10/31/08....

Today I am most grateful...........

My husband's throat problem is nothing serious
Floating in the pool and reading a book
My children playing together
My mother-in-law not being tossed from the hospital
Having the opportunity to put large amounts on my credit cards for business, pay off and get the miles for cash and travel
Garden tomatoes.....yummy!
School starts tomorrow and my kids are alive and well to attend

Money-making idea......

Use a credit card (that will give you money back/miles) for as many items as you can but RECORD those charges in your check book, like you wrote out a check for each transaction. For example, groceries, gas, any bills with automatic payment. If you record each transaction like you wrote a check, you will not get carried away with not having the money to pay the credit card. I highlight those amounts in yellow, so when the credit card statement comes, check your stmt with your yellow high-lighted items in your checkbook. Pay your credit card and enter a dummy deposit for all the charges you recorded as checks (to get your bank balance corrected). You will be amazed of how quickly you will earn money. Not to mention it is great for having a budget and seeing where your money goes each month! I also get a year-end statement that is itemized, good for planning next years budget. I can't wait for the day, my mortgage company takes credit card!

Day 6-Chrissy

Today I have $3200.00 to spend ....8/23

I am going to get braces for my daughter

I am most grateful today for.....

Seeing my mom, sister and nephew
My children are alive and healthy
My nephew's laugh
My Sister's good news
Watching a movie outside with my family
Being able to breath good

Money-making idea.....

Check your electric company policy for time of day savings. I have been on it for 15 years. My rates are cheaper on off peak hours, 9pm-9am and on the weekends. This changes when we turn the clocks back to 8-8. I do all my wash, dishwashing and run the pool on the off peaks hours. A savings of about $300 a year! You don't get a check but that money saved is like money made for something else to do.

Hey guys- keep in mind it doesn't matter if you are posting every day. Anyone can start, any time, and you can start with day one... if you post and then miss a week- it doesn't matter, just pick up with the day you left off so you can really experience the doubling of money each time.

Today I have $6400 to Spend...

Well I need a refrigerator for the apartment, and a washing machine. I'd also use this money to get a few throw rugs for the beautiful hardwood floors throughout the apartment.

All the money that is left I would give to my aunt for the times she has helped me financially in the past and recently - even though I'd have to trick her into taking it!

  5. My children and their unique qualities that keep me guessing
  6. Tisha and J's willingness to stop everything and travel 5 hours if I said I needed there help.

  2. for the members of www.MakeMoneyFromWriting.com , for making me feel useful and giving me hope for the future

  3. My to-do list which is finally feeling manageable instead of impossible
  4. My family and friends

Friday, August 15, 2008

DAY THREE: Debbie

Today I have $400 to Spend....

I'm taking that $400 bucks and heading to Sam's Club or BJ's to stock up on all the non perishables - things like toilet paper, paper towels, boxes of cereal, snacks for school lunches, etc. I used to do this regularly and if you are careful, you really do save money buying these items in bulk rather than buying every week at the local grocery store.

Today I am most grateful for...

  1. My parents and their unconditional love
  2. Having a low humidity/higher air quality and not too hot day that I can actually open windows instead of running the central air to keep it comfortable and allergin-free for my asthmatic child.
  3. My back with 3 herniated discs which seems to be repairing itself or at least giving me a long break from the constant discomfort and pain!

Money making ideas...

Since I'm on a decluttering kick, I could sell some underused/never used electronics I have had for awhile... a photo printer from Sony, a video camera that takes those little cassettes since we upgraded to a digital one this year, an epson color printer, an HP Scan jet thing that scans normally but can also scan a stack of photos automatically and scan photo negatives. I'd sell all that stuff if I could find buyer(s)!

Thursday, August 14, 2008

Day 2-Chrissy (first time blogger)

I know you will find this hard to believe but I am a first time blogger. Hear about it all the time but never participated nor looked at a blog in my life! The Law of Attraction has made many positive changes in my life and I think this is a wonderful idea to keep it going. Thanks for making me aware of this site Trisha!

I never made an entry for Day 1, so skipping to Day 2....

Today I have $200 to spend......

I will put it in my investment portfolio.

Today I am must grateful for......

Having a balanced day with no rushing.

Enjoying the day with my daughters with no fighting between them.

Being my son's "best" buddy.

Rainy days.....there is an entirely different mood to rainy summer days that makes me feel relaxed.

Money Making Ideas.....

I believe I will borrow the idea from my friend Debbie and clean out my house. Get rid of outgrown clothes and reduce the inventory of toys. Really, do kids need THAT many toys? I will sell what I gather in a yard sale (hopefully it won't rain!).

DAY TWO: Debbie

Today I have $200 to Spend....

With $200, I would get new window treatments for each of the bedrooms in our home, since the ones we have are "rigged" up and bug me!

Vacations.....and the peace and quiet they bring.

Making money ideas......

Today I will make $100 having a bake sale.

DAY ONE: Debbie

Today I have $100 to Spend....

With $100, I would take my soon-to-be first grader shopping for some new clothes.

Today I am most grateful for...

The Millionaire Mommy for sharing this experiment with everyone.

Money making ideas...

$100 could be earned by selling clothing that no longer fits my children or myself at greatly discounted prices on ebay or a yard sale.

Your Mission, if You Choose to Accept....

Recently I came across the Millionaire Mommy Next Door. I'm not sure who she lives next door to, but I sure wouldn't mind living in her new community with all the amenities she's shared with us!

I've been quite inspired by the Millionaire Mommy's story, and the Law of Attraction in general, that I wanted to take part in the experiment the "mommy" started awhile back - The Life is Infinitely Abundant experiment. Because I fully expect my partners-in-crime, Tisha and Trisha (yes I know, and yes it's their real names) to participate, the easiest thing to do was pull together a blog to make it all happen.

I call our version of The Life is Infinitely Abundant experiment simply, Mission: Attraction Action, because that's what we're doing. Pulling the Law of Attraction in Action. So, here we go:

The Law of Attraction, put simply, is that we attract to us what we think about. This is a new concept for many of us, but it sure does explain why when you wake up and things start going wrong that they just seem to get worse throughout the day. The more you dwell on them, the more you're going to experience the unhappiness or 'bad' day events.

In Mission: Attraction Action, we're going to do three things, as suggested by the Millionaire Mommy.

  1. On Day One, we'll decide how to spend $100. Each day of the mission, we'll double the money and decide how we're spending it (so Day 2 is $200, Day 3 is $400, etc). We can do anything we want with the money, but we can't repeat the same exact purchases from previous days. We'll run the experiment for 30 days of posts.
  2. In addition to deciding how to spend the money for each day, we'll include what we are grateful for - the same number of things as the experiment's day. So if we're on Day 7, we need to be grateful for 7 different things in our life.
  3. Each day of the experiment, we'll include money-making ideas that might generate the amount of money we're spending that day. I imagine this is the part that will become extremely difficult the longer the experiment goes on, but it will be fun to try anyway!

Thanks to Millionaire Mommy for the great idea for the experiment - looking forward to getting started.

Do you want to blog here with us and join in on the experiment? Send an email to debradragon at gmail dot com and I'll invite you as an author to contribute your own Mission:Attraction Action posts.
